The Best Halloween Decorations to Buy in 2025
Although spooky season is still a few months away, Halloween decorations seem to appear earlier each year. I’m not ready to say goodbye to summer, but know that the best items tend to sell out fast. Last year, some of my favorite finds disappeared before October even began—and I don’t want you to miss out on the best decor this year. My kids are big fans of both Harry Potter and Nightmare Before Christmas, so I usually go all in for Halloween. Whether you’re looking for something whimsical like floating Harry Potter candles or planning to make a statement with a towering 12-foot skeleton (which is already selling out), this roundup has something for every style. Here are the top Halloween decorations to grab in 2025—before they vanish.

The Best Halloween Decorations to Buy in 2025
Halloween was never my favorite holiday. I don’t have a favorite scary movie because I hate scary movies. And the decorations can be a bit much. But having kids changes everything. My oldest loves spooky stuff, and decorating for Halloween is a fun way to kick off the holiday season. I tend to skip scary Halloween decorations, and opt for felt bats on my fireplace mantel, cute ghosts, and chic black accents. I love fairytale pumpkins on the front porch, and fun indoor decorations for a spooky vibe, but think spooky chic and not “scary.” If you’re like me and are looking for tasteful yet spooky decor, I think you’ll love this post.

Where to shop for Halloween Decor
My favorite places to shop for both indoor and outdoor Halloween decorations are Pottery Barn, Grandin Road, and Crate and Barrel. Grandin Road and Pottery Barn each have a Halloween store so I’ve included quite a few things from both shops. Terrain and Anthropologie have some great options, too. I’ve included everything you need for Halloween parties – from faux pumpkins and decorations for your front walk. From fog machines to Halloween lights and animatronics, these stores have everything you need for the best (cute) Halloween decorations. I’ve also included a link to our giant 12′ skeleton. It’s currently sold out, but if you sign up to receive a notification when it’s back in stock, you can snag one. That’s how we got one last year and I’m on the list for a second.

A Few Notes on my Favorite Halloween Decor
Felt Bats (these sold out early last year!)
Looking for great wall decor for Halloween? These felt bats are it. I used paper bats on our walls until I found these, and there’s truly no comparison in the quality. They are so well-made, beautiful in person, and stayed up perfectly with command strips. These are one of my best-selling items year-after-year. and sell out early. I have both sizes and like to decorate our fireplace mantel with them. I just used command strips without hooks to attach them to the wall and didn’t have any issues removing them.
Spooky, No-Bake Halloween Treats
Hanging Witch Hats
If you’re looking for chic and spooky home decor for Halloween, these are it. I attach them to our ceiling with small command hooks. Just push the wire through the top of the hat (it pokes right through). Tie a knot around the command hook and attach it to the ceiling. I like to mix up the string height too so they all look like they’re floating at different heights. These are so cheap and have been a huge hit with my kids.
Halloween Pillows
I bought Halloween pillows for my kids’ rooms and they look forward to bringing them out year-after-year. These are the little holiday traditions I hope they remember as they grow up.
