When you have ADHD, there’s a very specific kind of optimism that comes with starting a new hobby. After doing a puzzle with my friend, I not only bought a chic new puzzle (yes, that’s a thing) but I also had to get the rotating puzzle board complete with drawers to organize pieces by color and type. I’ve convinced myself that I’m the kind of person who will take on needlepointing, watercolor, and diamond painting. My hobbies tend to arrive in waves of hyper-fixation, followed by a neatly organized box of everything I’ll need for bedazzling, or whatever my newest hobby is. I am also an anxious virgo, so organizing is half the fun. Not every hobby has to become a personality trait or profitable side hustle. Sometimes, it’s enough for something to make your brain feel calm, busy, creative, or just a little less overwhelmed for a while.

The ADHD Hobbies You Can Start Today

As a content creator, I get to use my creative brain at work. But I love to keep my hands busy, and really enjoy a project. I will get really excited, buy all the things needed for said hobby, and either start right away, or open the Wooble bag and do absolutely nothing with it for an entire year. I’ve tried at it all, and want to share my ADHD hobby collection with you.
