When working on my list of 80s movies, I quickly realized that most of my favorite movies when I was a little girl were in fact, from the 90s. The 90s gave us some of of the most memorable films that are still gems today. Decades later, I’m a mom of 3, and have started watching these movies with my own family. This became my oldest daughter’s favorite movie the first time she watched it. The 1998 film “The Parent Trap” is a delightful remake of the classic 1961 original, directed by Nancy Meyers and starring a young Lindsay Lohan in debut role. She’s seen the original, but this one is just as good as the first.  follows the mischievous journey of identical twins Annie and Hallie, who are separated at birth when their parents divorce. By chance, they meet at a summer camp and hatch a plan to switch places, hoping to reunite their parents. Annie and Hallie discover the true meaning of sisterhood and the importance of love and forgiveness. With its heartwarming story, witty humor, and endearing performances, “The Parent Trap” remains a beloved classic that continues to enchant audiences with its timeless appeal.
