When it comes to shopping for a seasonal wardrobe, I tend to find something I love and wear it on repeat. My summer wardrobe has looked more or less the same for years β€” linen, poplin, easy silhouettes, neutral colors that all work together without too much effort. It’s not the most exciting, but it makes getting dressed really simple, which is all I want when it’s hot. This summer, I’m all about timeless pieces in great silhouettes that I feel really good in. These are the summer style essentials worth buying, and are ones you’ll wear year-after-year.

The Summer Style Edit

What I’ve learned is that the pieces worth investing in are the ones you reach for every single summer without thinking about it. The linen tank that goes with everything. The poplin shorts that look cute and feel great on. The dress you throw on for the farmer’s market and somehow end up wearing to dinner too. Those are the pieces on this list. No trends, no fast fashion, and not a single piece I wouldn’t buy again. Just the summer staples that actually earn their spot in your closet.

I just placed orders at Boden and Mirth, and snagged the eyelet dress and this one, too. Here’s my summer style edit.
