Attending Taylor Swift’s ERAS tour seems like it’s a lot more than a concert experience. I’ve heard that it’s incredible, and can tell you more about it NEXT WEEK! It’s a journey through time, encapsulating the essence of Swift’s iconic eras. As you prepare to immerse yourself in the magic of Swift’s music and storytelling, your attire becomes a big part of experience. I’m not a sparkle girl but will be sparkling for this. Friendship bracelets are a must so I’m here for those. But as someone who likes mostly timeless, classic style, I struggled with what to wear. Here are the ERAS tour outfits I considered, a few I’d consider if I were a few years younger, and what we’re wearing to the ERAS tour.

ERAS Tour Outfits: Concert Looks I’d Want in my Closet

First, a disclaimer. Anyone can wear anything. If you’re a 55 year-old Swiftie, rock a tiny sequined dress. If you want to go all out and show up in full costume, that’s awesome! But that’s not me. And as someone who hates buying things I’ll never wear again, I struggled with choosing an outfit for the ERAS tour. So if you’re in a similar boat, I hope this helps.

I was never a huge Taylor Swift fan. Country music wasn’t really my thing and that’s how she got her start. I liked some of her songs as her music evolved, but was never a Swiftie. But my 5 year-old discovered Taylor Swift and going to the Taylor Swift concert has been one of her wildest dreams since. We saw the ERAS tour in movie theaters and she had been asking to go to one of the upcoming shows since. This world tour is unlike anything that’s ever really happened before, and I had to take my little Swiftie. As her mom, I had to make it happen for her.

So I planned a girls trip to Paris to see the ERAS tour, and spend a few days in the city. I could share some wild outfit ideas that I’d never consider. But as a 41 year-old mom of 3, I wanted to feel like myself while having fun.

Our ERAS tour Outfits:

We love such a mix of Taylor’s music. Margot’s favorites are Look What You Made Me Do, Blank Space, Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, Cruel Summer, Ready for It, 22, Fearless, Enchanted, and Karma. And we’re hoping Paris is one of her surprise songs! So we went with sequins, because choosing one era would have been too hard. There was no way I was wearing a sequin or gold fringe dress with knee-high boots. I just can’t.

This is such a special occasion – getting to be in Paris with my tiny best friend (or one of them) feels like a dream. I found the ultimate ERAS tour outfit for moms. I messaged my stylist friend who sent a photo of what she wore and I was sold. I’m not really a bright colors or sequins girl, but wanted a little sparkle and this felt like my best bet. So I opted for a sequined skirt. This skirt comes in silver and black sequins, but my daughter is wearing rainbow sequins, so I went with silver.

ERAS Tour Outfits: What to Wear to Taylor Swift’s Concert

Taylor Swift Debut Era: Country Girl

Embody this era with a flowy dress and country boots if you really want to embrace this Era.

Sea

White Top

If you want to keep things really simple but still be a part of it, consider a pretty white top and denim with some low western boots.

Ralph Lauren

White Dress

This is a splurge and maybe not what you'd think of when you think of a concert, but it's a beautiful white dress I'd like to own, and would be really cute paired with western boots if you own them.

White Dress

I love the detail on this one and would definitely wear it a lot over spring and summer.

Fearless Era: A Little Country

The Fearless era marked Taylor Swift’s transition from country sensation to global superstar. Choose a floral dress if this is your favorite ear. Taylor wears a fringe dress, so this is a great time to break out some fringe, florals, or sparkles. Have fun with it! Pair your dress with cowboy boots for a touch of country chic (if that’s your thing), paying homage to Swift’s roots and the music that catapulted her to stardom.

Fringe Dress

Ok, so I wouldn't actually wear a fringe dress but if I would consider one, it would be this.

Speak Now Era: Fairytale Romance

The Speak Now era is all about fairytale romance and timeless elegance. Taylor Swift embraced a more mature sound and aesthetic in this era. This era is all about ethereal dresses adorned with lace, tulle, and romantic embellishments. Choose soft, romantic colors such as blush pink, ivory, and champagne. Accessorize with delicate jewelry and vintage-inspired hair accessories.

Red Era: Bold, Fun, and Heartfelt

This is a favorite for us. The Red era marked a bold departure for Taylor Swift as she embraced a more pop-oriented sound while retaining her signature heartfelt lyrics and emotional storytelling. Capture the essence of this era with bold statements and vibrant hues that command attention. I don’t really wear red, but a red dress would be appropriate. Incorporate edgy elements such as leather jackets or studded accessories to add a rebellious flair to your ensemble, echoing Swift’s fearless approach to love and life during the Red era.

22 Tee

My girls love 22 so I came very close to getting this tee.

1989 Era: Retro Glamour and Pop Perfection

The 1989 era saw Taylor Swift fully embrace the pop genre, delivering an album filled with infectious hooks, synth-pop beats, and irresistible melodies. Embrace the retro glamour of this era with sleek and sophisticated ensembles inspired by the fashion of the 1980s. Choose tailored jumpsuits, high-waisted skirts, and crop tops in bold colors and playful prints that capture the energy and excitement of Swift’s music videos and live performances. Accessorize with statement jewelry, bold makeup, and sleek hairstyles to complete the look, embodying the confidence and charisma of Taylor Swift during the 1989 era.

Reputation Era: Dark and Edgy

This might surprise you, but Reputation is Margot’s favorite era, and has become one of my favorites, too. But wearing red snakes wasn’t happening for this mom. I do have leather pants and debated it, but wanted to sparkle with my girl. The Reputation era marked a departure from Taylor Swift’s previous image, as she embraced a darker, more mysterious persona characterized by themes of betrayal, redemption, and self-empowerment.

Embrace the edgy elegance of this era with sleek and sophisticated ensembles in shades of black, silver, and metallic accents. Opt for form-fitting dresses, leather separates, and dramatic silhouettes. Accessorize with statement jewelry, red lipstick, and dark, smoky tones to complete the look.

Staud

Sequin Dress

Like I said, I'm not a sequin girl, but I can get behind this one.

Lover Era: Pastels and Romantic, Flowy Pieces

The Lover era marked a return to Taylor Swift’s roots as she celebrated love, friendship, and self-discovery with an album filled with whimsical melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Embrace the romantic whimsy of this era with soft, pastel-colored ensembles that evoke the joy and innocence of falling in love. Choose flowy dresses, ruffled blouses, and floral prints that capture the dreamy atmosphere of Swift’s music videos and album artwork. Accessorize with delicate jewelry, floral hair accessories, and soft, romantic makeup to complete the look, embodying the optimism and positivity of Taylor Swift during the Lover era.

Folklore and Evermore Eras: Introspective and a little Moody

The folklore and evermore eras saw Taylor Swift embrace a more indie-folk sound and aesthetic, marked by introspective lyrics, atmospheric melodies, and whimsical storytelling. Embrace the cozy comfort and woodland whimsy of these eras with rustic-inspired ensembles that reflect the natural beauty and simplicity of Swift’s music. Choose cozy knit sweaters, flowy skirts, and earthy tones that evoke the serenity of a forest retreat. Accessorize with vintage-inspired jewelry, woven hats, and boots to complete the look, embodying the introspection and storytelling of Taylor Swift during the folklore and evermore eras.

Midnights: Alternative Pop

For Taylor Swift’s Midnight era, attire should reflect where the ethereal meets the mysterious. I would just go with something lavender for Lavender Haze and call it a day. Add sparkling chandelier earrings and a fun jacket, and you’re ready for the ERAS tour. Taylor Swift’s Midnight era should capture the essence of mystery and romance, transporting you to a world where dreams and reality intertwine under the cover of darkness.
