I just finished designing my new closet, which is roughly half the size of my old one. In an effort to maximize shelves and hanging space, I opted to leave out a built-in hamper, but still needed a place to put dirty laundry. I planned on finding a pretty hamper that I can either put near my double hang or full-length mirror. In a closet this size, a hamper isn’t tucked away in a corner. It is right there. So it needed to have the right aesthetic, and thus began the search for the right hamper, and some new laundry baskets, too.

With three kids, it’s basically always laundry day. The dirty clothes and towels pile up fast, an it’s helpful to have laundry baskets for everyone. All of my favorite hampers are made of natural materials, and I love a removable liner that’s washable, too.
