A few weeks ago, I sat down with writer Scarlett Longstreet. I found Scarlett on Instagram when a reel came up of her resetting her home, where she talked about needing to call the police on her mom. Her honesty was so refreshing. I had to talk to her. I reached out and asked if she would be open to sharing her story with me. It wasn’t long after that I subscribed to her Substack. She’s a phenomenal writer, and I just dove right in.

Episode 10 of Tell Me Everything: Parenting, Divorce & Radical Honesty with Scarlett Longstreet

If you have enjoyed my podcast and want to support the work that I do, one of the best ways to help it grow is to leave a 5 star review. It takes 2 seconds and makes such a big difference! You just scroll down here, and hit the star on the far right! Written reviews are nice, but not as important. It’s that easy.

Scarlett shares her experience being the daughter of addicts; how it shaped her mental health, parenting, and relationships, and her journey leaving a marriage as a stay-at-home mom of three. She discusses the challenges of motherhood, building friendships, dating after divorce, and the importance of radical honesty and hope. She offered up some candid advice on financial independence, parenting, and dating with kids, while reflecting on the complexities of female friendships and the need for value alignment in relationships. The conversation is honest, practical, and deeply relatable. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
