This room is everything Margot dreamed it would be. She wanted pink and gasped when we showed her this fabric. 😍 Big surprise coming in ~ 16 weeks. @kiradaviddesign just ordered more of this fabric and I’m having a matching headboard made.

Passing this @crateandkids bed (which we love) on to Kate next spring/summer since it’ll be perfect in her room.

This girl is ready to fly! ✈️ We’re leaving the country for the first time in 3 years next month (can’t believe it). I’m a little nervous to fly for quite a few reasons but mostly nervous about flying with a 2 year old since I’ve never done that. Maybe it’s just me, but I think the 4 year old will be easy. Is that real? 😂 Please leave all your travel tips below!

I’ve been putting together a travel kit with toys to keep the girls busy and am most excited about the @stokkebaby Jetkids bedbox. Use it to wheel your kids through the airport (we’ve been practicing in the kitchen - they love it), to store toys, and it turns into a bed while you’re in the air. It’ll make flying cozier and will keep small toys off the floor, too.

When it comes to design, always trust your instincts. I wanted this dresser years ago but someone talked me out of it because the drawers are small. Then I ordered a dresser I didn’t love with big drawers and went back to my first choice. The drawers *are* small, but it’s perfect. Such a beautiful piece. Just need some art and her room is done! 🤍

Parent tip of the day. You can close @hunterdouglas PowerView shades from anywhere (even your car) so Kate’s room was nap- ready. But also, never (ever) attempt a car nap transfer.

Just rolled out our new @annieselke custom sisal rug (gifted) and it looks perfect ✨ There’s a lot to do in this room (needs some color, a little pattern, and furniture), but it’s coming together.

7.28.22 🔔 was a magical day for our super girl. 🌈☀️🦄💕 And tomorrow, I’m sharing the details of how we celebrated.

Life is almost unrecognizable. We held on to some old, wonderful friends, and some relationships came to an end while on this journey, as they do. We met some new ones along the way and other friendships unexpectedly grew. We’re in a new house, my career is different, and no. more. chemo. ✨ I’ll never be the same and hate that she went through this, but am grateful for where we are today.

Our stair runner should be here in the next few weeks! Just need some art and maybe some furniture. Swipe to see a look at our living room.

New @circalighting sconces are up (but the electric isn't done yet) and our marble surround will be installed in a few weeks. And we're really hoping to have our sofa here by Christmas.

I don’t know that I’ve ever been happier than I am right now. We’re seeing friends, booking trips, and making up for all that we missed out on the last few years. Life looks and feels so different.

I took the girls to breakfast this morning and we’re heading to the pool, then @sharisshares is coming over for dinner. Her daughter Colette quickly became Margot’s best friend - we went from not seeing them for 8 months to seeing them 3x in one week.

This is as good as it gets. ✨

After 798 days (over half her life) in treatment for Leukemia, Margot rang the 🔔 marking the end of treatment yesterday. It’s amazing and surreal and a million other feelings that we will probably process for a while. But right now, it feels pretty incredible.

Thank you to our team at @luriechildrens. To every nurse and doctor who fights for these kids every day. To the friends and family that stood by our side and to each and every one of you who cheered us on and helped us raise over $255,000 for @alexslemonade and $100,000 for @luriechildrens. To our girl who never stopped dancing.

And now…we live. 🎗💛✨

This may be my favorite space in our new (old) house. We removed the carpet, refinished the floors, added crown molding and the most beautiful wallpaper, lighting, softest rug, and woven shades (that raise and lower with a remote!) ✨

I waited years for this. For moments that were otherwise expected. And for those of you who are in it, let this be a reminder that the sun will shine again.

I hate what it took to become this version of myself and to have the perspective that I do. I would give anything for my daughter to have not gone through years of Leukemia treatment. Would I undo it all if I could? Of course. But am I beyond grateful for the little moments, time together, those who stood by us, and the fact that we’ve raised almost $250,000 for @alexslemonade and another $100,000 for @luriechildrens.

We are less than $6,000 away from 250. Please help us get there by the time Margot rings the bell tomorrow 🔔💛

I am forever changed. It’s a new life, and I am ready to start living it.

One of the best parts of being a mom is making magic for my kids. I am NOT a DIY-er, so much that when I sent a photo of this project to one of my best friends, she replied with, "What's going on? Are you ok?" 😂
But I really wanted to do something fun with @wileywallaby since it's one of our favorite treats, and I love a theme. So I glued dinosaurs to mason jars, spray painted them, and filled them with kate's beloved "waterlemon" 🍉 licorice. These were a HUGE hit with the kids (adults too) and could be done in any color for any theme. #ad

Margot took her LAST DOSE OF CHEMO yesterday! After almost 800 days in treatment, we are *finally* done! I can’t believe it. I debated sharing this moment here but you’ve been here for us the last few years and should be a part of the joy.

Even on the hardest days, she always got back up again. She danced. And this morning, for the first time in years, we didn’t prep her medicine. Because she is DONE. I’m so proud of her, and so grateful for all of you. Thank you for cheering us on and for helping us raise over $320,000 for @alexslemonade and @luriechildrens.

And a reminder that through July 28, I’m matching up to $7,980 for our Alex’s Lemonade fundraiser. Link in bio.

We *finally* celebrated Kate’s 2nd and Margot’s 4th birthdays today! 🦕 Everything went wrong this morning - we had a ton of water in the basement, pushed the party back a few hours because of rain, the bounce house couldn’t be set up since it was pouring, and the dinos on the cakes were both broken. But none of that mattered because we know what does. ✨ So we cleaned up the water, the sun came out, and @maggiemakescookies cookies make the perfect cake toppers. We basically had an open house from 11-7 with a party at the end and it ended up being perfect. And really, nothing could bring us down today because Margot is DONE with chemo! She did it! WE did it. I’m so proud and happy and grateful to be here. To our friends and family and all of you for showing up in the most beautiful way. Thank you! ✨🎗💛

Through Thursday, July 28, I am matching up to $7,980 to our @alexslemonade fundraiser for pediatric cancer research to commemorate the 798 days my little girl spent in treatment for Leukemia. I’ve shared these stats before but ~ 45 children are diagnosed every day yet only 4% of government funding for cancer research goes toward our kids. Our treatment may be done, but this isn’t magically over for us. And it feels like my fight to make things better for these kids is just beginning. Link to donate in my bio.
