In episode 1 of Tell Me Everything, I share my story, looking back at a tumultuous childhood marked by emotional abuse, trauma, and abandonment. I dive into the time she spent in a residential treatment center, an abusive relationship in ,y twenties, and how a search for happiness sparked a cross-country move from Los Angeles. After moving to Chicago in her late 30s, she started a business, grew her own family, and eventually navigated her daughter’s leukemia diagnosis during a global pandemic. I share my career paths from accidental blog designer to co-founder of a successful women’s website, and ultimately finding stability along the way. My hard isn’t special. I didn’t have it worse than most, but I made it through some hard things, and hope that by hearing my story, others might feel less alone in their hard, too.
