Someone asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day so Someone asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day so let’s talk about gifts. It seems like most of you want a few hours or a day to yourself and that sounds wonderful, but I’m not sure what I’d do with the time. How would you spend an uninterrupted day to yourself?

Last year, I finished styling our mantel (bought a handful of ginger jars from @shopanecdote and @onekingslane) for my birthday. A sign of true adulthood.

I know many have resumed life as normal but investing in a handbag or watch just doesn’t make any sense for me right now.

So...what’s on your list for Mother’s Day, a birthday, or another special milestone?

Sometimes, I find myself buying 🌈 lounge sets f Sometimes, I find myself buying 🌈 lounge sets for my pink, sparkly, rainbow-loving almost three year old. Rainbows aren’t really *my* thing but making her happy is the best.

We say things like “don’t grow up” but I know more than most how each day is a gift and not a promise.

Last night, someone asked about Margot’s symptoms and diagnosis and my heart sunk. But then I found myself flashing back to last summer right after diagnosis. To wondering if she’d get to grow up and play. If life would ever feel happy or normal again — I quickly turned my pain into gratitude. There’s still a lot of healing to do and a long road ahead but our days feel pretty normal now and she’s doing so well.

Toys all over the living room. Handprints on the wall. Yellow rain boots by the front door. Her “heart hugs” — she runs up to me and gives the biggest, squeeziest hugs. Watching her learn and grow. Life lessons. Even her (BIG) toddler feelings. They’re all moments I’m so grateful for. It isn’t always easy but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done, and I’m just so lucky I get to watch my girls grow.

Our mirror just arrived from @shopanecdote and it’s exactly what our room needed. ✨ Painting next week (just a warmer white) and I think I’m going to layer a sisal or jute under our vintage @lindasbarn rug. Slipped into my new robe at 6PM and hoping for an early bedtime for our not even three year old who hasn’t napped in 2 weeks. When did your kids stop napping? It’s too soon! 😭
Thursday started out a little bumpy. Margot did a Thursday started out a little bumpy. Margot did a handstand into a flip (but not on purpose) and crashed into Kate who crashed head-first into the girls’ plastic farm. 🤕 She’s ok but it left quite a bump and Conor’s coffee only spilled on the play mat unlike the time I spilled an entire mug on our jute rug. (Folex saved us). At least Buddy is thriving today. 👆🏼

I gave Margot her meds, sent out @shopanecdote’s newsletter, and am running out for a curbside pickup and some fresh 🌷

In a shocking turn of events (enter sarcastic tone here) I have so much organizing to do. 🙃 The mountain of off-season and baby clothes in the basement is...something. Send help.

It took almost 3 years but I’m finally sharing m It took almost 3 years but I’m finally sharing my small, seasonal closet on my blog! It’s the opposite of what you usually see from people who do what I do (i.e. a full bedroom with rows of heels and bags). Zero shade - the big closet doesn’t sound terrible but the heels do. I’m too old to be that uncomfortable 😂
