This room has been a work in progress, and our new @arianna_belle pillows brought in the color and pattern that we needed. They completely transformed our sofas and the entire room. I love the block print paired with the darker indigo print - they’re perfect.

And just like that, I am officially for newborn snuggles here 👆🏼 next month. Thank you @arianna_belle!

That’s not an indoor pool 😂 - a rug pad fused to the wood.

We lowered the firebox and had to take out the shelves to do so. Once we added drywall, there really wasn’t enough depth for new ones. Looks a little bare but we’re still decorating.

My 2.5 year old came into my room this morning and said “mom, you make good food.” I asked what I made that she loved and she said salad. 🤣 She was talking about *this* salad.

After leaving LA in 2010, one of the things I missed most was my La Scala chopped salad. I’m a recent poll I learned only a small % of you had been there, but that most of you would want to try it. After playing with the dressing I *perfected* it 🤌🏼 There’s now always a jar of the Leon dressing and another jar of chickpeas marinating in said dressing. In my defense I’m pregnant but this salad really is my favorite. Every time my sister visits I beg her to bring one and she never does. 😏

The last time I went back home I had 3 chopped salads in 3 days. I really do love them that much and have been making them nonstop. Head to my blog (link in bio) for the easiest and most delicious salad - just trust me. It’s that good. 🥗

It’s sort of impossible not to make the holidays magical for my kids. And with a new baby coming next month (!!!) I wanted to get ahead on Easter. 🐰🥕

I’m excited to partner with our favorite @wileywallaby again, this time, to share what’s going in my kids’ Easter baskets this year. It’s really a mix of things to keep them busy (because we all need that). An audio player, butterfly wings, wands, art supplies, and some silicone toys for the bath. And I had to include our favorite Wiley Wallaby flavors. Kate *lives* for Green Apple. To make things festive, I added it inside little carrot containers and love how it turned out.

Thank you to my friends at @wileywallaby for partnering with me over the course of the last year, and for the endless supply of my favorite licorice. I love when I get messages from you guys telling me that you’re fans of Wiley Wallaby now! I love the green room so much more than I thought I would. Our new @annieselke sisal was just what this room needed. @kiradaviddesign sent a bunch of fabric options for pillows (that will be made by @arianna_belle). 🎹 should be here in a month or so.

I was looking at old photos and videos with the girls and these travel photos really got me. I didn’t grow up traveling - visited Europe for the first time at 31. Both my girls have now been to Italy, and travel feels like such a beautiful gift we get to give to them. Although neither of us want to go anywhere with kids until naps are a thing of the past, and I’ve decided 4 is the magic number.

I’m rambling.

Today is International Childhood Cancer Day. I know you’re probably tired of hearing about childhood cancer. I wish I knew a lot less about it. That I didn’t need to raise awareness.

But here’s the thing. More than 400,000 children are diagnosed every year. It doesn’t just happen to other people. And the reality is that we are the lucky ones. It’s not a part of our everyday life anymore. It doesn’t define us. She’s healthy, happy, and almost 7 months off treatment.

Stats will tell you that childhood cancer is, in fact, rare. But it’s the leading cause of death by disease in the US and I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t fight for these kids. They deserve the world.

I’ll link our fundraiser in stories. It would mean the world if you donated something to help us make things better for these kids.

Having a relaxing (as it can be with 2 kids) Sunday at home. We made cinnamon rolls, I picked up some fresh flowers with Kate, fabric for our family room chairs has been ordered, the sun is shining, and I just cleaned the floors with our new (ish) cordless vacuum. It’s the little things.

I know IG is all about reels but there’s a reason I’m here and not on tiktok. There’s just way too much noise out there, and I’m missing what it was before video took over.
